IØ, the Danish Investment fund for Central and Eastern Europe will manage the co-investment line.
Project Cost Including proposed IFC investment
IFC’s participation in the co-investment line is for up to U$15 million as loan or quasi-equity investments.
Location of project and Description of site
Projects will be located in Poland, Estonia, Latvia or Lithuania, (“the Region”).
Description of Company and Purpose of Project
The purpose of the project is to fund investments in the Region, through the co-investment line, which are too small to be considered directly by IFC and whose financing needs are not currently addressed by IFC through other financial instruments. Eligible companies will be small and medium sized joint ventures which will usually have a Danish sponsor and an active local partner.
Environmental Category and Issues
This is an environmental review category FI project. IØ has agreed to adopt its existing environmental review procedure to ensure that subprojects are consistent with World Bank policies and guidelines.
