The Fund will be managed by Falcon House Capital Management Ltd. (the Manager) who has offices in Indonesia and Singapore. The Fund is the first private equity fund managed by the Manager who currently comprises of Mr. Glenn Yusuf, Mr. Samir Soota and Mr. Brian O’Connor.

IFC proposes to make an equity investment of up to US$25 million in the Fund, not to exceed 20% of the total commitments of the Fund.

The Fund will invest primarily in mid-market companies in Indonesia.

The Fund would help private sector development through supporting growth and operational improvement of its portfolio companies. The Project would support private equity investments in Indonesia, helping develop the financial markets in the country.

IFC''s investment in the Fund is expected to demonstrate confidence in the Manager, catalyzing commitments from other investors. In addition, through participation in the Fund, IFC would ensure that the Manager develop strong environment and social management system (ESMS).

The Project has been classified as a Category FI project according to IFC’s Environmental and Social (E&S) Review Procedure. As a condition of IFC investment, the Fund is required to develop an ESMS, appoint a senior officer with adequate qualified support to implement the ESMS to ensure its portfolio activities will meet the above performance requirements. Portfolio activities of the proposed new fund shall meet the requirements of the IFC FI Exclusion List, applicable Indonesian Environmental and Social laws and regulations and IFC’s Performance Standards. IFC will have (i) the right to review the implementation and performance of the Fund’s ESMS and (ii) the rights to review the Fund’s first three proposed investments and any proposed investment in a Category A Client prior to their investment decisions to ensure the Fund''s ESMS is operating adequately in identifying and managing E&S risks. The Fund is also required to provide an annual environmental and social performance report to IFC.
