Project Description
The project consists of a direct equity investment of up to RUB 2.90 billion in CREDIT BANK OF MOSCOW (CBM), a medium-sized universal bank, well known to IFC from earlier projects. CBM was established in Moscow in 1992 and now ranks among the top-25 banks of Russia in terms of assets. CBM operates in Moscow and the Moscow region, offering both corporate and retail banking services to a wide range of clients. The main purpose of the project is to improve access to finance for clients of the Bank, mainly represented by mid-sized companies and to strengthen the capital of the bank in view of its regional expansion and its preparation for an initial public offering (IPO) in the mid-term.
