Project Description

Qasim International Container Terminal Pakistan Ltd. (“QICT” or the “Company”) operates a container terminal at Port Qasim approximately 50 kilometers southeast of Karachi, Pakistan. QICT is the leading container terminal operator in Pakistan with a market share of 36% in 2009. The project consists of an inland container depot (“ICD”), a container freight station (“CFS”), and other capital expenditure requirements of QICT, which will help to improve transportation services in Pakistan. The ICD will be located near the industrial and agricultural center of Lahore and will enable upcountry customers to receive and deliver cargo from Lahore via rail, representing additional convenience and cost savings relative to trucking. The CFS and other capital expenditures will improve services and efficiency for QICT’s existing clients at Port Qasim.
