Project Description

Cosmo Films Limited (“Cosmo” or the “Company”) is an Indian manufacturer of bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) and thermal films. BOPP films are used in packaging materials in the textile and food industry, sticky tape, labels of mineral water and soft drink bottles, the lamination of book covers, etc while thermal laminating films are used to laminate books, posters, calendars, etc. The proposed project involves the expansion of its manufacturing capacity in Shendra Special Economic Zone in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, by a 40,000 tonnes per annum line (the “Project”).

Initially, Cosmo had proposed expansion of its manufacturing facility in Vadodara by 40,000 tonnes per annum line as well as the setting up of a facility in another developing nation. However, those plans have been subsequently changed.
