Project Description
China’s wastewater sector is experiencing unprecedented growth, as major cities seek to meet national wastewater treatment standards. In order to raise funds and mobilize private sector expertise to meet the huge investment demands effectively, the Chinese government has sought private sector participation in the sector from the early part of this decade. In this context, the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) has become an important approach in bringing in much needed investment into the wastewater sector.
Epure International Ltd. (Epure) provides water and wastewater treatment solutions in China. It started its wastewater business in late 2008 and since then, it has won several BOT concessions with total treatment capacity of 280,000 tons/day. The proposed project will provide financing support to the BOT projects.
