Project Description
The project consists of a $50 million financing package to Grupo Financiero Uno (the Group, GFU, Uno, or the company) to support the expansion and consolidation of the Group’s operations in Central America.
Founded in the late eighties by a group of Central American shareholders, Grupo Financiero Uno has become the leading retail financial group in Central America with operations in El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Mexico.
The Group is the largest VISA consumer credit card issuer throughout Central America and Panama, and also offers loans, retail deposits, asset management and insurance products to more than 900,000 customers though six commercial banking subsidiaries and several credit cards companies across the region.
