The Fund is being formed and is managed by Siguler Guff & Company, LLC of New York and its affiliate in Moscow, Russia Partners Management, LLC.

The target size of the Fund will be $350 million and IFC’s proposed investment is $10 million.

The Fund will be managed by Russia Partners Management LLC, with offices in Moscow, Samara and New York. Russia Partners is led by Managing Directors Drew Guff, George Siguler and Vladimir Andrienko

Through its participation in the Fund, IFC will generate development impact in several ways. - Providing equity financing for the development of local Russian companies. Such financing is especially scarce for companies outside the Moscow region; Russia Partners is active both in Moscow and other parts of Russia and the former Soviet Union. - Partnering with a local fund management team and assisting them in adopting international management practices and standards, including environmental and social risk management techniques and good corporate governance practices. - The amounts committed by several other investors will depend on the total raised from sources that are not guaranteed by OPIC, such as IFC. Thus, IFC will play a catalytic role in attracting other investors to the Fund. - In line with the lessons learned from prior funds, IFC’s investment in the Fund will demonstrate our commitment to supporting existing managers with a good track record.

This is an FI Type 2 project. The Fund Manager will be required to establish an environmental and social management system to ensure that investments made by the Fund comply with applicable host country and World Bank Group environmental, social, and health and safety requirements. IFC will assess the Fund Manager’s capacity to establish an EMS.
