Project Description

The UWI Institute of Business, St. Augustine (IOB or the company), a collaborative venture between the University of West Indies (UWI) and the local private sector, is a private, not-for-profit entity created in 1989 through private endowment funds sourced from local businesses. It provides business education in the form of part-time post graduate programs (predominantly MBAs), training and consulting services as well as research capabilities. The project is to construct and equip a new campus equipped with modern teaching and learning amenities for an estimated cost of $10 million. The new campus will present IOB with the opportunity to increase its market share of the growing domestic and regional demand for post graduate education, further broaden its strategic linkages with other established international educational institutions and allow the Institute to expand and diversify its offerings.
