Project Description
OOO Ruscam (or the company) was founded in 2001 and produces glass containers for the fast growing Russian market. Ruscam’s operations are located in the village of Gorokhovets, about 335 km east of Moscow and the company currently operates two glass furnaces with a total capacity of 580 tons/day. The project entails the installation of a third furnace with 385 tons/day of glass making capacity and bottle-forming lines which will allow the company to expand its production of glass containers in amber and start the production of green containers. The project will address the rapidly growing demand in Russia for beverage bottles manufactured to international quality standards. Currently, most of the bottles manufactured domestically suffer from a high breakage rate when utilized on higher-speed filling lines, which are becoming increasingly common in Russia with the beverage industry’s investment in improved filling technologies and efficiencies.
