As with IFC’s two previous projects with Interfin, the primary purpose of the project is allow Interfin to provide small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) the much-needed access to long-term credit and to help finance equipment purchases for lease contracts under the group’s leasing affiliate, Arrendadora Interfin (Arrendadora). Additionally, this project will provide subordinated debt financing that will enable the group to grow and strengthen its competitive position as a regional bank.
