Project Description

Salutia is implementing a proprietary, multichannel, Internet-centric transaction platform, Health24TM, to efficiently and securely process transactions and exchange information among healthcare payers and providers, and eventually, also patients and suppliers. Salutia''s core clients are healthcare payers who determine the initial care eligibility and authorization, therefore experiencing the greatest cost savings from adopting Salutia''s technology platform.

E-health connectivity companies hold tremendous promise both globally and in Latin America. Through connectivity, administrative inefficiencies are reduced and clinical information is improved. The potential of Salutia therefore is not only to reduce healthcare administrative waste, but also to improve the quality of care by giving healthcare professionals more complete, accurate data at the point of care.

Given recent level of skepticism among investors in the area of healthcare information technology and e-health, IFC has an important catalytic role in the project. Also, IFC''s involvement lends additional credibility to Salutia, especially in its dealings with healthcare payers and policy-makers.
