SouffletAgro Ukraine CJSC, based in Ukraine, is a subsidiary of InVivo Group, based in France. InVivo Group is a leading agribusiness player in Europe owned by Union InVivo. Union InVivo is a union of cooperatives in France. 

 IFC will provide (i) two risk-sharing facilities partially guaranteeing up to 30 million of SouffletAgro Ukraine CJSC's receivables from Ukrainian farmers and up to 10 million of its receivables from grain buyers and (ii) up to 50 million loan to InVivo Group.

 Investments under the Project are planned to be made in Ukraine. 

 Not applicable as the Project is not in the extractives sector. 

This is a Category B project according to IFC’s 2012 Policy on Environmental and Social Sustainability as this investment will have limited adverse E&S risks and/or impacts that are readily addressed through mitigation measures, as described in the sections below. Mechanized grain production in Ukraine is not associated with PS2 supply chain risks. Biodiversity risk screening found no concerns regarding deforestation/natural habitat conversion risk in grain-sourcing areas, where commodities are produced in consolidated designated agricultural areas with no recent significant habitat conversion. However, the ongoing invasion in Ukraine poses a high contextual risk. Key E&S risks and issues for this investment are: (i) implementation effectiveness of E&S management system (ESMS), capacity, and competency at corporate level and Soufflet Agro Ukraine for the Ukrainian operations; (ii) labor and working conditions, including occupational health and safety (OHS) aspects, contractor management, workers grievance mechanism, non-discrimination & equal opportunities, gender-based violence and sexual harassment; (iii) supply chain risk assessment and management of barley and grain sourcing; (iv) emergency preparedness and response, including life and fire safety (LFS) at malting plants and warehouses; (v) resource efficiency and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions; (vi) pollution prevention and control; (vii) pesticide use and management; (viii) community health and safety including road and food safety, and security; and (ix) effectiveness of stakeholder engagement, including community grievance mechanism at operation level.
