Project Description

 The proposed IFC investment is an A-loan of up to US$24.3 million equivalent Nigerian Naira (NGN) to NSIA Advanced Medical Services Limited (“MedServe” or “the Company”), to expand its medical diagnostic and cancer treatment services, which comprises the roll-out of 13 new diagnostics health centers, 3 oncology (cancer) centers and 3 catheterization (cardiology) labs, across 13 states in Nigeria (the Project). The Project is expected to be supported by the IDA20 Private Sector Window Local Currency Facility (IDA PSW LCF), as described in the Blended Finance Section.

Associated Advisory Engagement

 The proposed investment is expected to be complemented by two IFC advisory services engagement to assist MedServe expand health access to the poor and vulnerable. This would include a framework for assessing and strengthening the impact of MedServe’s oncology service on a sustainable basis.

IFC will also support and guide MedServe in enhancing health quality; and attaining Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies (EDGE) certification (green building) for the 13 new health centers included in the Project.
