Project Description

Established in France in 1900, Groupe Soufflet (“Soufflet Group”) was privately-owned by the Soufflet family through Ets. J Soufflet SA, a holding company incorporated in France. Soufflet Group was a vertically integrated agribusiness group operating in wheat & barley value chains. In December 2021, Soufflet Group was acquired by InVivo Group (“InVivo”). InVivo is one of Europe's leading agricultural group, with a workforce of more than 13,000 employees. Established in 38 countries, InVivo operates across: Agriculture; Malting; Milling, Ingredients, Bakery / Pastry / Confectionery; Gardening and Food Distribution; International Grain Trading and Wine.

In October 2021, IFC committed €50 million in A Loan to fund working capital needs of specific Soufflet Group (now, InVivo) subsidiaries in Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, and Ukraine. The existing loan is proposed to be increased by up to an A Loan of €65 million to support working capital needs and liquidity needs of InVivo in Ukraine .
