Project Description

The Project is a 700 tons per day (TPD) brownfield expansion of its chlor-alkali plant at Bharuch (Gujarat, India), along with a 500 TPD flaker plant and a 120 megawatt captive power plant ('The Project”). The Project is expected to cost approximately US$143  million. IFC’s proposed investment of up to INR 3 billion (~US$ 40 million) in DCM Shriram Limited (“DCM” or “the Company) would be used to fund the chlor-alkali plant expansion and flaker plant (costing US$89 million) along with long term working capital and routine capex. The captive power plant will be funded through the company’s internal cash flows.
