ODATA is owned by Pátria Investimentos, a Brazilian private equity fund and CyrusOne, a NASDAQ-listed, US-based leading Data Center provider.                

The total Project Cost is estimated at US$78.5 million which IFC proposes to finance with a secured A loan of up to US$30 million. ODATA will finance the remaining Project Cost through a combination of equity and internal cash flow generation.

ODATA has three data centers in Brazil all in the state of São Paulo. DCSP01 is located in Santana de Parnaíba, DCSP02 is in Hortolândia, Campinas, and DCSP03 is Barueri.

This is a category B project according to IFC’s Policy on Environmental and Social Sustainability because a limited number of specific environmental and social impacts may result that can be avoided or mitigated by adhering to the implementation of Good International Industry Practice (GIIP) and design criteria as described in the following sections. Key environmental and social issues reviewed during IFC’s appraisal include: (i) environmental and social management system implementation; (ii) management of environmental, labor and occupational health and safety practices as well as labor and working conditions of employees and contracted workers; (iii) energy/resource efficiency and energy management, including backup power and fuel storage; (iv) management of solid waste, including safe disposal of batteries and electronics; (v) security management; and (vi) the company’s stakeholder engagement activities, commensurate with the level of risks and impacts.
