Project Description
The El Dovio project (“El Dovio” or the “project”) is a very early exploration stage project located in western Colombia between the municipalities of El Dovi and Sipi. The Project combines five exploration licenses registered in the name of Corporacion Minera de Colombia (“CMC”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Colombian Mines. To date, Colombian Mines has invested around US$2.5 million in exploration activities at El Dovio, including geochemical and geophysical surveys, trenching and channel sampling. The Company also recently initiated a phase I drilling program, which consisted of 1,500 meters (10 drill holes). Initial assay results have produced high grade copper and gold intercepts, including 6.9 meters at 5.9 g/t gold and 5.9% copper. It is anticipated that an initial mineral resource could be prepared by mid-2014, with a Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) by quarter 4 of 2014.
