Project Description
HEM Group (‘HEM’) or ‘Institut des Hautes Etudes de Management’ is a private Moroccan business school that currently operates 5 campuses in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakesh, Tangiers, and Fes and serving 2,200 students. Founded in 1988, HEM has built a model based on strong pedagogical methods, yet relevant to Morocco''s social and economic realities.
With a strategic eye on future growth, the Group is undertaking a US$20 million investment program to support the Group’s expansion plans in Morocco which includes the constructing and replacing its existing campus in Rabat, the geographical expansion of HEM business schools into 2 new cities and the establishment of a new private technical university in Casablanca.
The Project is being proposed within the context of IFC’s E4E Initiative for Arab Youth (“E4E”), which supports private sector provision of quality, job-oriented higher education in a country with rapidly growing population making employment imperative and most urgent.
