Project Description
The project is to develop, design, finance, construct and provide services for the Kayseri Integrated Health Campus located in Kayseri, a city in mid Anatolia region of Turkey. The project is one of the first PPPs in the Turkish healthcare sector and is part of the Ministry of Health’s Health Transformation Program aiming to (i) renovate the insufficient healthcare infrastructure that is unable to meet the increasing healthcare demands, (ii) consolidate small state-owned hospitals under one campus, and (iii) increase service quality and efficiency in state-owned hospitals.
The Kayseri Integrated Health Campus covers a construction area of 464,095 sqm (including 342,509 sqm of hospital buildings) and is comprised of a multi-specialty main hospital with 1,083 general treatment beds and 200 psychiatric beds, a 200-bed center for physical therapy and rehabilitation, a 100-bed high security psychiatric hospital, an administration building and a technical service center.
Construction period is three years, to be followed by operational period of 25 years. Ministry of Health will move staff from several existing public hospitals in Kayseri to the newly built campus and will continue providing clinical services. As part of the project, in addition to facility management and general services (catering, laundry, cleaning, etc.) the Consortium will provide the following clinical support services: laboratory, imaging, rehabilitation, sterilization and disinfection.
