Overview of IFC's Scope of Review

This is a repeated deal with existing IFC client and the review of this project consisted of appraising information previously provided by Pandurata Alimentos/Bauducco as well as new information on its practices regarding the environment, occupational health and safety (OHS), human resources, community engagement and social communication, specially under the scope of site expansion in Extrema, Minas Gerais State. The appraisal also included first-hand observation and data collection through site visits to the Pandurata Alimentos/Bauducco bakery facility, located in Extrema, in the state of Minas Gerais. IFC’s review included a detailed assessment of environmental and OHS aspects; OHS and labor conditions, terms of employment and labor practices at its own operations; quality and sustainability of water supply; management of air emissions from all sources; management of solid, liquid and hazardous wastes from processing activities; energy consumption and energy efficiency, including greenhouse gas emissions; community engagement; expansion of its facilities and permitting.
