Project Description
Turbo Tech Precision Engineering Private Limited (TurboTech or the company) was established in 1989. The company designs and manufactures small steam and gas-turbine generators, ranging in generating capacity from 50 kW to 2.5 MW, which are used for cogeneration and back-up power applications. TurboTech’s main product is the Energy Conservation Turbine (“ECT”) which is designed to be used in place of pressure reducing valves to generate electricity while expanding steam from generation pressure to pressure of use. The typical market for the ECT is the small and medium sized industrial user of saturated steam.
The objective of the project is to expand TurboTech’s manufacturing capabilities in response to growing demand for the ECT, to extend its marketing and servicing capacity within India and partially to finance beta-testing of the company’s Low Cost Gas Turbine. The expansion will require opening of a new manufacturing facility on an industrial estate outside Bangalore, and establishment of regional offices and service centers in Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
