Project Description
This project will strengthen the institutional capacity and risk management frameworks of Vista Guinee (VistaGui) and Vista Bank Burkina (VistaBF) to enable sustainable MSME lending and enhance financial inclusion in Guinea and Burkina Faso, with a focus on women owned or women led MSMEs (WMSMEs). IFC Advisory Services will provide recommendations, training, and tools to help the banks proactively manage portfolio quality by reinforcing governance, building local capacity, and adopting international best practices in risk management. The engagement will also introduce sex disaggregated data (SDD) systems and a gender flag framework to improve borrower profiling and targeting of WMSMEs. Expected impacts include an increase in the number and value of MSME loans, growth in MSME share of total lending, and expanded access to finance for underserved entrepreneurs — contributing to job creation, economic diversification, and resilience in both countries.
