Project Description
Under the IFC Africa IPA Network initiative, this project provides targeted technical assistance to the Kenya Investment Authority (KenInvest) to strengthen its capacity to originate, structure, and promote high-quality, bankable investment opportunities in priority sectors such as Textile & Apparel, Leather, Automotive, and Electric Mobility. As part of a pilot program with eight African Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs), the project will support KenInvest in assessing and upgrading its investment pipeline, identifying and packaging at least five viable projects for investor readiness, and engaging with development finance institutions and private investors through structured outreach. In parallel, the initiative will build KenInvest’s institutional systems and technical skills through tailored training, practical toolkits, and peer-to-peer learning, enabling it to consistently generate and market investable projects that align with national priorities and attract financing.
