Project Description
The project will be structured into three components,
Component 1: Policy Dialogue and Diagnostics:This component establishes the groundwork by engaging stakeholders and diagnosing gaps in Comoros' financial sector. It focuses on identifying regulatory and institutional weaknesses, with peer-learning exchanges to adopt the best regional practices.
Component 2: Strengthening Credit Information Systems; aiming to expand financial inclusion by integrating alternative data (e.g., mobile money, remittances, utility payments) into credit reporting systems. By leveraging non-traditional data sources, the initiative seeks to improve risk assessment for lenders and expand credit access for unbanked and underbanked populations, particularly women and MSMEs.
Ccmponent 3: Diagnostic study on movable lending by guiding the strengthening of the collateral registry.
