Project Description

The project will deliver advisory services to BONCFC to transform the financial institution into a sustainable consumer finance company. To this end, the advisory service will implement activities under five components: Component 1: Sustainable development baseline diagnostic and development roadmap. IFC will run a multi-dimensional assessment to establish a baseline for BONCFC’s sustainable development, and support in forming relevant short-, medium-, and long-term sustainable development goals and roadmap. Component 2: Sustainable consumer finance framework and implementation guideline. IFC will lead the designing of a sustainable consumer finance framework and implementation guideline accompanied by a set of toolkits such as an evaluation scorecard and a database of eligible activities. Component 3: Customer profiling for sustainable consumer finance and financial product development. IFC will support BONCFC in the profiling potential customers of sustainable consumer finance, and subsequently support the development of green financial product and environmental impact measurement and reporting mechanisms. Component 4: Sustainable development information assessment and disclosure. IFC will support BONCFC in tracking, measuring, and reporting its sustainable development impact. Component 5: Capacity building and international exchange. IFC will deliver customized capacity building activities to meet the needs of employees at different levels.
