Project Description
The project aims to promote private sector participation in the biofuel sector in Mozambique by conducting a market analysis and identifying necessary policy, legal, and institutional changes to facilitate private investments. The project will involve reevaluating the market feasibility for alternative crops as a part of the biofuel production process in Mozambique and identifying necessary policy, legal, and institutional changes to facilitate private investments. The project will share the findings with relevant authorities and the ongoing public-private dialogue on biofuels. The project will also promote awareness on promoting environmental and social standards, including preventing indirect land use change or deforestation to the detriment of food production and forests.
