Project Description
The project expects to run for 4-5 years with three components. These are designed to address the key institutional arrangements and capacity building needs necessary to respond to the recent microfinance & retail credit market situations in Cambodia, e.g., high competition with more players, high credit penetration and saturation rate among the adult population, increasing average loan size, insufficient FCP regulation, etc.
The Project will have three components, including: (1) Strengthening Regulation and Supervision of FCP; (2) Improving Self-Regulation and Enhancing Consumer Financial Capability; and (3) Developing Independent Disputes Resolution Mechanism.
