Project Description
IFC will provide transaction advisory support to the Government of Jamaica (GoJ), to develop a national broadband network under a public private partnership (PPP). Through the PPP, IFC will help structure and implement a competitive tender for a private partner to design, build, finance, and operate the national broadband network that will increase access to internet services for households in rural Jamaica.
Development Results
The Project is expected to attract private sector investment to develop a national broadband network that will expand access to broadband services for the underserved and unserved communities and improve the quality and affordability of internet services across Jamaica.
