Project Description
Sourcing2Equal Kenya will help companies increase women’s participation in access to markets via corporate procurement corporate by reducing gender gaps in the supply chain. The partnership with companies will see them each make at least two commitments to advance gender inclusive sourcing strategies. The companies will access best practices and other learning resources through their participation in the Peer Learning Platform (PLP). At firm-level, IFC will also support companies to identify opportunities to increase sourcing from women-owned businesses. To deepen market-level understanding and awareness of the business case for gender equality in corporate procurement in Kenya, IFC will publish research in this area.
These measures will foster an enabling environment for gender equality, and promote women’s participation in the corporate value chains.
