Project Description

Improving Investment Competitiveness of Bangladesh (IICB) is an advisory project of the World Bank Group that aims to improve the investment competitiveness of the country through supporting the Government of Bangladesh in establishing an One Stop Shop (OSS) for Investor Services, bringing improvement in the areas of Ease of Doing Business assessment, developing and applying regulatory governance instrument, and building institutional capacity of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) to sustain reforms. It is expected that the government will undertake necessary initiatives to achieve these realistic regulatory reform agenda. The envisioned improvement will help the country to attract and realize private investments for achieving their vision 2021.
