Project Description
This project is part of a broader Tanzania Investment Climate program aimed at supporting the implementation of private-sector led approaches to improving the overall enabling environment and increasing competitiveness and investment in high opportunity, labor intensive value chains. Building upon previous IFC investment advisory program and in alignment with the Government of Tanzania Five Year Development Plan, this project support prioritized economy-wide reforms in three components: business regulation reforms (licensing and inspection), trade logistics and regional integration reforms. Given the importance of private sector engagement across the program, the project will additionally support strengthening of Tanzania's public private dialogue (PPD) mechanism to improve private sector input into the targeted reforms. Women’s associations will be represented within the PPD mechanism to increase their access and voice with respect to the reform agenda.
