Project Description
The project will address a range of investment policy and business taxation issues that constitute barriers for the private sector to invest efficiently across the region. These issues include substantive and procedural investment entry restrictions, investment
performance requirements, race-to-the-bottom dynamics in investment incentives, and lack of effective transfer pricing frameworks. Regional stakeholders (primarily the ECOWAS Commission) have already developed appropriate regional frameworks on most of
the
issues (except transfer pricing), and have sought technical assistance to advance the implementation of the relevant reform initiatives in the region / across their membership.
